Students love to relax there as well. When it comes to building and planing they use the rug so they can have space. They can also leave what they are building for another time as well as a puzzle. If they need to leave it as is and come back to it later, they can!! We are beyond happy with the rug in our class. We take care of it and we use it daily. \r\nAs we learn about plants and garden I will be using this rug as our observation lab. I will put tray of different seeds. With this number of books, students, particularly our younger ones, have become overwhelmed in searching for a library book to check out or as one student described as \"their perfect book.\" To help alleviate the stressful experience of book finding at the library, materials such as sign holders, book display easels, book bins, shelf tags, book labels, and a rolling step stool were needed and soon purchased for the library.\r\n\r\nAs soon as these materials were put in place, students from across the room spotted the front covers of books that were never noticed before and made their way toward these books. In fact, this has led to multiple students competing for a book on display which led to a waiting list for this book. Students also noticed the new sign displays around the library which guides them to explore the collections found under these signs.\r\n\r\nSome of our younger students, most who cannot quite reach the top bookshelves, find relief that there is a step stool that can assist them. These students could easily roll the step stool to a shelf location and use it to reach out to take a book. As soon as these students grabbed the book they wanted, a look of accomplishment could be seen on their faces.\r\n\r\nThe colorful book bins have not only helped our students but also our Kindergarten teachers. The bins have been used to designate a color for each table and teachers assign their students to a table using the bin color. As soon as students get to their table, they excitedly delve in and explore the collection of different picture books found in the bin. The books in these bins are curated weekly to ensure that students get to explore and check out the many different books that the library carries. \r\n\r\nClearly, these materials used to aid our students in the library have made a difference in how they experience their school library. Students now enjoy being at the library, exploring all that our library has and discovering the books and ideas that they never thought they would be interested in. Truly, your contributions to help fund materials for my project \"Searching for the Perfect Book\" has made a great impact on my students and how they navigate through their school library. Because of this, you have helped our students at Garvanza Elementary Technology and Leadership Magnet discover their love of reading and become lifelong readers.","fullyFundedDate":1734712074474,"projectUrl":"project/searching-for-the-perfect-book/8836386/","projectTitle":"Searching for the Perfect Book","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nicdao","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9682824_orig.jpg?crop=1141,1141,x79,y248&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746486539519","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/nicdao"},{"teacherId":374488,"projectId":4652889,"letterContent":"Thank you for your kind and generous donations to this project.
