Thanks to your support, our students now have a comfortable calming corner where they can relax, read, and recharge. The bean bag, flexible floor chair, and soft rug have created a peaceful atmosphere that encourages focus and mindfulness. This special space has quickly become a favorite spot for many students who enjoy curling up with a good book or taking a quiet moment to reset before returning to their work.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students' faces lit up with excitement. They eagerly helped set up the calming corner, arranging the rug and chairs just right. One student said, \"It feels like a little library just for us!\" Since then, the corner has been filled with laughter, quiet reading, and calm reflection. It has become a place where students feel safe, comfortable, and inspired to learn.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue nurturing this love of reading by introducing book talks and small reading groups in the calming corner. Students will share their favorite stories, discuss characters, and recommend books to one another, building both confidence and community.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has made a lasting impact on our classroom. Of course, our favorite is the \"rumble\" where everyone gets to play their drum at the same time, making any beat they can create on their own! It is a loud way to demonstrate creative expression and simply, FUN! Thank you so much for bringing these wonderful instruments to our classroom. They can point to the images and they do not have to huddle around a laptop. We use the play dough to help support fine motor skills by cutting the play dough and rolling balls an amount of balls when given a number. They form letters and make animals.
