The new rug has brought Rug-Tastic Adventures to our classroom. The students were so surprised and excited when they saw the new rug set up in the classroom. They immediately wondered where the rug had come from. Therefore, I explained to them that we had wonderful donors who gifted the fantastic rug for our classroom. The students were in absolute awe and demonstrated gratitude. \r\n\r\nWe have had many adventures with the new rug addition in our classroom. We have used this rug every single day since its arrival! We begin our day on the rug to do our morning meeting; it sets a welcoming tone in the class. We have whole and small group instruction on the rug. Also, we have a community circle on the rug. Additionally, students utilize the rug area as a different seating option than their desks to complete independent work. \r\n\r\nOur new rug has made our classroom more lively and welcoming.
