It is incredibly important that young children play, it is truly how they learn and make sense of the world. With your donations, you have allowed my students to explore and craft their own reasoning of the world. \r\n\r\nMy children love to use the discovery table. They spend a lot of time building different worlds within its confines, bringing materials from across the classroom to it. They are often found sorting, crafting and constructing whole stories in that area. \r\n\r\nThe art easel has also been incredibly impactful. My students are building confidence not only as learners, but as artists. We are so excited to paint and make (contained) messes there. I am continuing to look at my classroom through new eyes, seeing where I can expand their control of their environment and help them feel agency over their own learning.","fullyFundedDate":1777937948019,"projectUrl":"project/little-hands-big-discoveries/10240087/","projectTitle":"Little Hands, Big Discoveries!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dana","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4855481_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1506919627217","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4855481"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_105723","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":712,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":17,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":55,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":9,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":85.4,"schoolId":105723,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Citizens of the World Silver Lake on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Citizens of the World Silver Lake","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/citizens-of-the-world-charter-mar-vista/105723"}
