At the end of last school year, I received all the packages you helped fund, and I made the decision to keep them unopened until the start of this new school year. I wanted the children to experience them fresh, right from the first day.\r\n\r\nFrom the very first two days of school, the impact has been incredible. Our new sensory Play-Doh mats, calming fidgets, and emotional learning books have transformed our calming corner into a space where children can self-regulate, explore, and feel safe. The \"Spot\" collection books and plush characters have quickly become favorites during circle time, helping us talk about feelings and build emotional awareness. Watching my three- and four-year-olds light up as they explore these materials has been truly heartwarming.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a huge difference in my classroom. The tools you've provided are not only engaging and fun, but they're helping my students learn essential life skills in a hands-on way. Thank you for believing in my students and for giving them the chance to start the school year with joy, comfort, and connection.","fullyFundedDate":1746785797593,"projectUrl":"project/building-big-feelings-in-little-learners/9205238/","projectTitle":"Building Big Feelings in Little Learners with Play & Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Diaryan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9777616_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758408912171","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9777616"},{"teacherId":1725583,"projectId":8552295,"letterContent":"I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation toward our Harry Potter Reading Club. Thanks to your support, our students now have the opportunity to embark on a magical reading adventure!\r\n\r\nGetting started took a little longer than expected due to the California wildfires and school closures, which delayed the arrival of our materials. Some shipments had to be returned and re-shipped, but the wait was well worth it. Once we finally received everything, I created a flyer to announce the club and personally visited each classroom to share the exciting news. The students' enthusiasm was contagious—they could hardly wait to dive into Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! Even some teachers joked that they wanted to join in on the fun.\r\n\r\nOur club will meet every Monday and Wednesday during lunchtime, where we'll eat together and read the book. But we won't stop there! To bring the magic of Hogwarts to life, we'll be making our own wands, crafting personalized Hogwarts letters, and even trying out some of the famous treats from the books.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped turn this dream into reality. Because of you, students who may not have picked up this book on their own now have the chance to discover the joy of reading in an engaging and immersive way.
