My students love everything we received! The Squigz suction builders are a lot of fun. You can make an unbelievable array of items that don't fall down easily. Every child can use it in their own way. We have to use two hands to stick them together and pull them apart. Our hand strength is increasing as is our communication about what shapes and colors we need. We then can share with others what we have built. \r\n\r\nOne of our items was out of stock so we replaced it with a 1-20 Chunky Number Puzzle. It is our favorite puzzle and is large enough to share with a buddy. I have students that love numbers. This can be done on a variety of levels so it works with all of our students. \r\n\r\nWe also received manipulatives to retell three of our favorite stories. Right now we are reading, \"The 3 Bears\". It's great to have a variety of items to retell a story with. We are looking forward to retelling \"The 3 Pigs\" and \"The 3 Billy Goats Gruff\" in the future. \r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our students,","fullyFundedDate":1762879649030,"projectUrl":"project/communication-is-the-goal/9460023/","projectTitle":"Communication is the Goal!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Caputo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp527443_orig.jpg?crop=2432,2432,x779,y67&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1596661350324","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/527443"},{"teacherId":527443,"projectId":9460010,"letterContent":"My students absolutely love everything that we received. The Play-Doh is used daily in a variety of ways. We roll it into long snakes and use plastic scissors to cut it into small pieces. From there they make 'cookies' and a variety of food to serve to others. Food is always a big topic to communicate about. We have a Core Board an array of pictures to help us communicate what we have made.\r\n\r\nOne of the items was out of stock so we replaced it with 2-16\" babies for the Dramatic Play Center. The babies are very needy which gives everyone a lot to talk about. They need food, blankets, their beds, toys, pacifiers, etc. This gives us even more to communicate with our friends about. \r\n\r\nThe latch board is a favorite with our Speech Teacher since she can change out the items that are hiding behind the doors. \"Open the door!\" \"I see a ______.\" followed by lots of giggles. It's so nice to give them what they deserve which is a clean, soft place to do our activities. \r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our youngest learners. This rug is getting played on, danced on, sat on, and jumped on daily. It's also getting vacuumed every day so that we can keep it good as new for a long time to come.
