I teach first grade at a school that serves multicultural students. My students are eager to learn. They love engaging in challenging and hands-on activities. Our student body is diverse: 81% are Latinos, 10% White, 4% Asian, 2% African American, 2% Filipino, and 1% others (which includes Pacific Islanders and Native Americans). Our school is Title 1 with 84% of our students classified as low-income and qualified for free lunch. 38% of the population is classified as English Learners.
