For example, each morning students take turns jumping on the trampoline when they arrive, which helps them transition smoothly from drop-off to breakfast time. Throughout the day, these materials provide meaningful sensory breaks that help soothe students when they begin to feel overwhelmed. During free time, many students are especially drawn to the kinetic sand, enjoying the calming experience of building shapes like cones or simply letting it run through their fingers. These moments not only support emotional regulation but also encourage creativity, exploration, and independence.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were filled with excitement and curiosity. They were immediately drawn to the boxes, eagerly wondering what was inside, and some even used the labels to try to predict what was inside. As I unboxed the items in front of them, their enthusiasm grew as they realized they would soon have access to new sensory tools. Moving forward, the next step is to intentionally incorporate these resources into structured classroom stations. Students will be able to rotate through calming sensory stations—including the trampoline, kinetic sand bins, and Play-Doh—before transitioning to academic tasks. This will help create a supportive environment where students can regulate their bodies and minds, ultimately increasing their readiness to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1767255888520,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-tools-for-our-neurodiverse-learn/9723662/","projectTitle":"Sensory Tools for Our Neurodiverse Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9573500_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1736349830053","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9573500"},{"teacherId":2534797,"projectId":10065087,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation!
