This year has been really stressful due to outside factors for both my students and I. Part of growing up and getting older includes learning how to cope with difficult emotions and stress and these toys have helped my students relax by focusing on the little mini lava lamps or squeezing out their tension using stress balls. \r\nMy students were so excited to see the new materials and have made good use of them ever since. Our next steps are to couple the new stress toys with other coping skills such as deep breathing, journaling, and meditation.
