My students have been using the sensory items and especially enjoy the jelly fish tank. Many times students sit in the calm corner enjoying looking at the tank. It has really helped them by watching the jelly fish. In addition, the sensory fidget tubes have been a great addition to our sensory items. My students enjoy playing with them when they first enter my classroom to help them set their mindset for the start of the day. Another item that has greatly improved our classroom is the large digital clock. The size of the clock has really helped my students be able to see and anticipate when transitions such as recess or lunch will occur. These items have been such a great addition to my classroom and I really appreciate your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1761924655916,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-items-for-calm-corner/9553728/","projectTitle":"Sensory Items for Calm Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. C.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp581120_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693632901356","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrscantwell-goc"},{"teacherId":1639510,"projectId":9635492,"letterContent":"My students absolutely love the stamping items we received. Your donation to our project is helping them learn to create scenes. But, it is also helping them learn to mix colors on paper, apply pressure in various ways, and focus on precision while stamping out their ideas. \r\n\r\nI just thought it would be a fun way for them to create and work on artistic skills. But listening to them test out colors has been priceless. They get frustrated by how light some stamps turn out and then learned to just press down firmer into the ink pads and try again. These skills being taught and utilized make this art time so worth it. Your donation to this project brought so much excitement to my classroom. Students were thrilled to help open containers, count as a class all of the items, and sort them into smaller collections they could count on their own. \r\n\r\nThe fruit items are probably their favorites to count and have been the ones picked first by the different counting teams in my class. The students sort by fruit type and compare numbers. This is not even something I planned for, but having students compare and contrast numbers is a great skill we were able to add into a recent lesson. Thank you for helping enrich the learning for my classroom and future students that work in our school.","fullyFundedDate":1759270971591,"projectUrl":"project/counting-collections/9744616/","projectTitle":"Counting Collections","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1639510_orig.jpg?crop=979,979,x0,y267&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746818453531","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1639510"},{"teacherId":1639510,"projectId":9480027,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating to our classroom project. We are thrilled to share that our two new magnet centers are a huge hit. Students are loving the road tiles. They have made runways for the airplanes in class when creating and playing airport. Students have also used the road tiles to make roads for the cars and trucks we have. The collaboration between students to decide how to build these roadways is amazing. As the teacher, I get a first hand view of their language skills, manners, and persistence in getting it \"just right\". \r\n\r\nThe farm set of magnets has also been a fun area for students. They enjoy the pieces of magnet that have images on them. In other magnet areas, we have plain tiles and they like to build in those areas, but having farm animals and crops on the tiles allows them to play and tell stories about what they are creating. The scarecrow magnets hang out in their pumpkin patches. Students again, work together to use these tiles to build scenery for their farm life station. \r\n\r\nYou are so thoughtful to donate to our project. I look forward to hearing their happy cries about all they can do with these tools in class.","fullyFundedDate":1755739138595,"projectUrl":"project/magnetic-tiles/9480027/","projectTitle":"Magnetic Tiles","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1639510_orig.jpg?crop=979,979,x0,y267&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746818453531","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1639510"},{"teacherId":1639510,"projectId":9036474,"letterContent":"With the arrival of all our sensory tools, my kindergarten class was bursting with joy. We made a big deal of opening the boxes together and discussing what we earned and how we will use these tools. My students were so attentive and had great ideas on how to use the tools in class. \r\n\r\nSome students suggested using things when sad about missing mom or someone else. Having things to twist, squish, stretch, and manipulate often helps with calming behaviors. When students need help regulating emotions or calming behaviors, sensory bin tools/toys support them.
