They so love being handed something big and bold and fun that they barely even notice all the learning going on!\r\n\r\nWhile we're not yet to song-making (we're using the BoomWhackers to practice counting, patterns, and tempo!), we're truly enjoying these noisy little tools. When I first posted this project, I wasn't sure if it would be chosen. It's so simple and so targeted that I wasn't sure if donors would see it's value.\r\n\r\nI was so grateful when I saw that it would be funded, but I was absolutely overjoyed when I brought the materials into the classroom and found out that they WORKED!\r\n\r\nTwice a week now, I put out a \"letter table\" focused on the letter of the week, where students can build letters, make them out of playdough, handle objects that start with he letter, trace the letter, and so on. And they absolutely LOVE it. Best of all? My most reluctant learners are the most likely ones to come to the table to \"play\" with the letters, giving me incredible new opportunities to teach the letters in a hands-on, play based way. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your support of this project.
