My first graders are absolutely amazing! Our classroom is a Special Education classroom for students with a variety of disabilities, ranging from Autism to Physical Impairments. Several of our students have been diagnosed with more than one disability, and many of our students also have difficulty with language. About half the class speaks a language other than English at home, and all students receive free lunch because of their low income level. Even though my students are up against a lot, they are an energetic, hardworking group who never stops in their journey to learn and succeed!
