Your generosity has truly made a difference in our TK room. My students absolutely love the kinetic sand—it's become one of the most requested centers every day. They use it to build letters, shapes, and creative little worlds, which has helped strengthen their fine-motor skills and support early literacy in such a fun, hands-on way. The trays have also been incredibly helpful; they keep materials organized and give each student their own workspace, which is especially important at this developmental stage.\r\n\r\nYour generous supplies have genuinely lightened our classroom workload and enriched our learning environment. Having these materials readily available has allowed me to create more sensory-based lessons, smooth transitions, and independent play opportunities that promote social skills and cooperation. Most importantly, your support has shown my students that people they've never met believe in them—which is a powerful message for little learners. Everyone is now comfortable sitting on the carpet. Also, the most amazing teamwork has come to the classroom, along with a strong desire to take care of our new chairs and to work together to stack them when we are not using them. The level of growth students are showing by collaborating to get something accomplished is really encouraging. It is really a big deal for the students in the class to show this kind of engagement with each other—to work as a team and help each other.\r\n\r\nThe LEGO StoryTales is getting played with more than anything else! Watching the students, keeping track of who used, and ensuring the rotation is fair are now standard in the classroom. There is one child in the class who likes to take what he has built and put it up high on a shelf so no one takes it apart. This student does not use many pieces, but builds a little house on a background of grass with rabbits hopping and a red bird. This piece is very precious to him. It brings all the adults in the room such joy to see him take pride in his work and engage with the Lego StoryTales. The other students are aware of his project, but they do not make a fuss about it. Another point of growth is developing empathy for this student, who has had many challenges and will always face them. \r\n\r\nTo wrap it up, students feel special to have new resources. They feel safe and they feel valuable, like they matter. Hopefully, this feeling remains in their lives and they can use it to feel peaceful when life gets more difficult. The playdough sets including pearl, cosmic, neon, and classic varieties, along with enough rollers and playdough scissors for each student, have brought excitement, creativity, and hands-on learning to our TK class. From the moment the materials arrived, my students' eyes lit up with curiosity and joy. They could not wait to open each container, feel the different textures, and explore the colors. The variety of playdough types sparked immediate conversations. Some students loved the sparkle of the pearl dough, while others were fascinated by the swirling galaxy look of the cosmic one. Having their own rollers and scissors made each child feel special and capable, giving them the independence to explore and create freely.\r\n\r\nWe have already used these materials in several ways. Most recently, we incorporated playdough into a shape and fine motor activity. Students rolled out dough to form circles, triangles, and squares, then practiced cutting along the lines using their playdough scissors. They also learned how to roll long snakes of dough and use them to build giant rectangles on their work mats, combining creativity with spatial awareness and shape recognition. These activities helped strengthen hand muscles and build foundational geometry and motor skills in a fun and engaging way.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will be using the playdough during our upcoming unit on pumpkins. Students will use the playdough to create pumpkins of different sizes, shapes, and colors, practice counting pumpkin seeds made from dough, and even explore pumpkin life cycles through hands-on modeling. These activities will help them develop vocabulary, number sense, and fine motor skills while having fun with a seasonal theme. Students love watching soothing visuals like ocean waves and floating clouds while they take a break. It's amazing to see their shoulders relax and their faces light up when the room feels peaceful.\r\n\r\nThe new whiteboard partition has been a game-changer, too. The divider provides a great space for writing or for the kids to draw, but provides a boundary, so that the students will not get into the prizes or snacks. The organized marker holders may seem like a small detail, but they've helped keep the room clutter-free, which makes the whole space feel calm and inviting.\r\n\r\nEvery time a child successfully uses this space to regulate and return to class ready to learn, I think of the generosity that made it possible.
