Students were surprised of the outcome and amazed of the things they can do if they go outside. \r\n\r\nAfter the read aloud we water painted a potato and students wrote a sentence \"Instead of being a couch potato, I can go outside and ____\" students fill in the blank. I was amazed of all the ideas they came up with. This has helped my students stay off of technology and go outside and play. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for the donations. All of the items will allow for success in the classroom but the whiteboard markers are the most needed. I am only provided with a limited amount of markers each year which end up being replaced with markers I buy myself. The markers are used almost daily by students which leads to them drying out. Using markers is a fun and engaging way for them to practice various skills such as letter formation, addition problems, and even proper hand holding.
