We use them in groups and they help facilitate student discussions. Last week the students took turns filling in the tens group template and then making a word problem that matches. The students love working with each other and I have seen an improvement in their math vocabulary skills. \r\n\r\nThe students were so excited the first time we took out the math white boards. They were thrilled when they discovered the math chips were magnetic.
