The new materials you provided have played a huge role in making this possible.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the resources—like meditation cushions, calming visual aids, mindfulness journals, and sensory tools—during our weekly mindfulness sessions. One particularly powerful moment was during a guided body scan meditation. For the first time, students shared that they felt \"safe,\" \"calm,\" and \"like I could finally breathe.\" One student even said, \"This is the first time today I didn't feel stressed.\" That's the impact your donation has had.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were priceless. There was genuine surprise and curiosity—followed by immediate engagement. They touched the soft textures of the cushions, flipped through their journals with intention, and asked thoughtful questions about how to use each item. It was clear they recognized this wasn't just about \"schoolwork\"—this was about them.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're building on that foundation. Each student is working on a personal \"Mindfulness Toolkit\"—a journal-based project where they reflect on techniques that help them manage stress, build emotional awareness, and create inner calm. These tools are becoming part of their everyday lives, not just our group time. And that's the goal: to give them lifelong strategies for well-being.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has given my students more than supplies—it's given them the space to heal, grow, and feel seen. Thank you for believing in the power of mindfulness and for helping us create a classroom culture of compassion and calm.","fullyFundedDate":1747321604518,"projectUrl":"project/be-kind-to-yourself-through-creativity/9091824/","projectTitle":"Be Kind to Yourself through Creativity!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Paola Duenas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9913756"},{"teacherId":21680,"projectId":9177613,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting this project. Although we have many books in the classroom, it can be hard to find books that grab the attention of young children who are striving readers. These books by Robert Munch accomplish that goal.
