My classroom is a diverse group of personalities and backgrounds. Many of the students come with a variety of skills. Some students have kindergarten readiness skills and attended pre-school, but for the most part many of the student have no letter recognition skills, they cannot write their name or can barely hold a pencil. I have a class with many students who are English language learners. Our school student population includes over 30% of ELLs, and over 50% are on free/reduced lunch.
