Your generosity made a group of students from a town that doesn't even have a restaurant or a gas station look like they came from \"somewhere\". Our students wore the shirts and blouses at our recent school \"Tiger Fest\" and again yesterday when we traveled to Seaside High School to perform in their Multicultural Rally. The students understand that it is like a band uniform, so they had to give them back immediately (although they all wanted to keep them!) This permanent part of our Music program will continue to give status to our musicians in the years to come. Thank you so much for the gift. The boards are each numbered with permanent marker and stored on top of the percussion cabinet in numerical order. When students enter the music room, they fetch their instrument and place their personal white board on their music stand. A new song from the heart of each student is already in the works - a whole song, not just 2-3 measures! May it be one of many over their lifetimes. \r\nWe send our sincere thanks for coming alongside us. Our students prepared a \"Thank you\" PowerPoint with photographs to express this personally to you. I'm really touched that people from all over the US who will never meet these students in person are supporting their journey in music. More than that, these teens have heard your message loud and clear: their voice and their education is of great value and worthy of investment by the greater community! \r\nMusic changes the lives of the composer, performer and audience and binds us into the human family.
