I have witnessed remarkable improvements in student engagement, attention, and comprehension during story time.\r\n\r\nFidget tools have become essential supports for our learners with diverse sensory and motor needs. When students manipulate fidgets during storytelling, they sustain attention for longer periods while managing restlessness or anxiety. For example, one student who previously struggled to sit through a five-minute picture book now listens attentively for fifteen minutes while holding a fidget toy. Another student uses a textured object to calm nervous energy, allowing him to focus on story comprehension. I will further utilize these fidgets in my literacy centers and morning story time and have students describe the story using the tools you helped provide to my classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting inclusive, accessible learning practices.","fullyFundedDate":1782922239096,"projectUrl":"project/interactive-storytelling/10359407/","projectTitle":"Interactive Storytelling","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gold","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6457949_orig.jpg?crop=1944,1944,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1558377710693","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/byrantsciencecamp"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_91707","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":560,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":18,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":71,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"20.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":91.7,"schoolId":91707,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bryant Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bryant Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/garden-grove-unified-school-district/bryant-elementary-school/91707"}
