This project has allowed the students to have reliable equipment for class, district and state testing. \r\n\r\nHaving this equipment in the classroom allows for equity in access as not all families can supply headphones for their child. Equally, the school supplied equipment lacks features like the microphone making them irrelevant for some of the uses in our classroom. \r\n\r\nIt has been so great having them ready and no concerns about not functioning properly especially as we approach testing. My students always ask if they can go and sit on our fun seats to read.\r\n\r\nI have not had any donations from parents this year for snacks for the kiddos. I was bringing snacks, but it was getting too expensive for me to bring every day. My students and I truly appreciate your snack donation. They love having a snack to eat in the afternoon. This experience was new for most of my students and expressed how creepy but exciting it was to hold an actual specimen. As much as it was scary for them, they were super excited! \r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for our students is that they were allowed to take the specimens home and show their families what they learned. The were also able to recreate the specimens with our arts and crafts materials and made it a more realistic project. \r\n\r\nThe best part is that some students were able to come back and retell what they learned to their families.
