With these books, my students will be able to increase their reading level and be able to share their experiences while reading these books. Being able to discuss and learn from each other has proven to be detrimental in their reading achievement. Also, being able to have a full discussion with class members about a book rather than reading it at home in isolation will motivate them to continue to want to read. I need to take advantage of their desire to read right now and expose them to as many books as I can this school year. In my class, students share, discuss, and support one another. Our classroom environment is a very positive one where students are comfortable with each other. What better way to learn from each other than literature circles!
