It has been a game-changer to have an easel, dry erase markers and other small group materials. I have been able to have students at my back table to work on writing, spelling and math during the school day. \r\nIt has been so helpful having the easel at my disposal because I am able to display important concepts and work out problems with students that need the extra attention and targeted instruction. Students also use the whiteboard and dry erasers during their small-group instruction. The students are excited to share their work with their parents and the donors. Without your help, they will not be able to create a masterpiece of their hard work that they have been working so hard this year. \r\n\r\nIn our classroom, students are using the binders to hold all their hard work as a portfolio to showcase their work to their parents. They are reviewing their works at the end of the quarter and providing the best work of the quarter to put into their binder. Hopefully at the end of the year, the students will have a portfolio full of great work for their parents and other educators to see. \r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrive to school, many of my students help me receive the boxes in the office. My class loved being able to follow along as I read the chapters aloud. They were so engaged and responsive to the read-aloud when they were following along in their own copy of the books. Even after we finished the books, several students love to check them out of our class library often. I also run a book club on campus and have a few copies available to the members of the book club as well. \r\nI am happy to know that I will be able to use these classroom sets for many years to come. These books are very special to all my students and continue to inspire them to be avid and curious readers! I cannot express how wonderful it feels to have the support of members of our community.
