The moment students received their notebooks, they immediately started flipping through the pages, decorating covers, and asking what we were going to put inside. \r\n\r\nWe used the notebooks as a long-term writing guide and reference tool. We had sections for grammar, vocabulary, writing structures, and examples of strong paragraphs. One of my favorite moments so far was watching students turn back to earlier pages to check their own notes instead of immediately asking me for the answer. I received the books for the classroom library and shared with the students that they were purchased through donors like you. I passed the books around the class and students were so interested and excited to read them. I have such a diverse classroom library of books, and I've named it the book nook. THANK YOU!! Here is a picture of two students helping me organize the books by genre.\r\n\r\nI recently sent students a survey to gauge how they were feeling about the weekly SSR times we are now having in class. Out of 120 students, almost all students said they LOVED SSR and that they were enjoying the book they were reading.
