We already had the paper and paints, so this was the perfect addition to our art center.\r\nNow we can leave the paints out for easy access on the easel and the students can paint when they choose during our free choice centers in the afternoon.\r\nHaving 3 sides on the easel has been beneficial, because more students can paint at the same time. They seem to have a love–hate relationship with my teaching manipulatives, so I'll admit I was a bit nervous when I introduced the tools you so graciously provided.\r\n\r\nI started with my higher group, using the cards with Elkonin boxes and markers for each sound, and they absolutely loved them. Then I introduced the \"telephones\" to the other groups. It took a little time for them to get the hang of it, but once they did, they wanted to use them for everything. The flip charts had a similar response; they needed a bit of practice at first, but quickly became a favorite.\r\n\r\nThese manipulatives have made a huge difference in this class's ability to sound out words, blend, substitute sounds, and ultimately become confident beginning readers. I am amazed at how much they have grown and blossomed.\r\n\r\nOverall, it's been really encouraging to see their excitement and engagement grow as they become more comfortable with each tool. I truly appreciate your support for my students in their reading journey.","fullyFundedDate":1766439700419,"projectUrl":"project/bob-the-builder-didnt-build-words-like/9935001/","projectTitle":"Bob the Builder Didn’t Build Words Like This!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Selvey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7767477_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768748319098","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7767477"},{"teacherId":5476228,"projectId":9547762,"letterContent":"On behalf of our students and classroom community, thank you for your generous donation of snacks and classroom supplies.
