The engagement is contagious. We are so lucky at El Rincon that we can do that every school day, from transitional kindergarten to fifth grade. \r\n\r\nThis year, fifth grade did a new lab about cells and the difference between animal cells and plant cells. They made their own wet slides using cheek cells and onion skin and iodine as a dye and viewed them through 3 different lenses on the microscopes. \r\n\r\nWatching these \"ah ha!\" moments is why we do what we do.
