Forgotten water bottles or utensils for a snack definitely come in handy. It helps students get back to work versus worrying about how to eat their snack or not having water. \r\n\r\nBecause I encourage students to bring a snack, we have 90 minute classes, we do get the occasional spills or little messes. That's when the baby wipes and paper towels come in handy, I believe it makes it more difficult to focus when you are hungry or thirsty so a quick clean up is part of the support system in the classroom.\r\n\r\nIt seems kids always have a runny nose, I have tissues and sanitizer at every work station. The all purpose surface cleaner is a plus to wipe desks after class or after school to get ready for the next day.\r\n\r\nThese supplies support my students behind the scenes, it allows them to focus on learning because their basic needs are cared for.\r\n\r\nThank You!!!!","fullyFundedDate":1758202816314,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-cleanup/9526421/","projectTitle":"Classroom Cleanup","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1772473_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1505244130094","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/grateful-appreciative-"},{"teacherId":4226767,"projectId":7109884,"letterContent":"Research has shown that students learn best in a safe, supportive community. This technology has allowed my students to engage with science in a much more hands-on and interactive way. One of the most exciting ways we've been using the iPads is to access real-time weather and climate data. Instead of just reading about weather patterns, students can track storms, compare temperatures in different regions, and analyze real-world climate trends. This has helped them make connections between what we learn in class and the world around them, deepening their understanding of weather systems and their impact on daily life.\r\n\r\nThe students are especially excited to explore global weather patterns, using interactive maps and satellite images to see how weather changes across different regions. Being able to visualize these concepts in real time has sparked curiosity and meaningful discussions in class. Whether comparing seasonal trends or analyzing extreme weather events, these experiences have made science more relevant and engaging. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of iPads to our classroom. Your support is making an incredible difference in our learning environment and opening up exciting new opportunities for my students.\r\n\r\nWe've already begun using one of the iPads as part of an innovative classroom setup. By connecting it to a projector, students can actively engage with our \"Panther Points\" system, rewarding each other for classroom participation. The setup has also transformed our classroom layout, enabling students to see projections on two sides of the room. This eliminates the traditional \"front\" and \"back\" of the classroom, creating a more inclusive and collaborative learning space.\r\n\r\nThe second iPad is going to play an integral role in our upcoming science stations. I'm particularly excited about incorporating a weather app station into our next lesson on weather patterns. This will give students a hands-on, interactive way to explore real-time data and deepen their understanding of science concepts.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly empowered me to enhance our classroom experience in ways that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. The students are already benefiting from these tools, and I can't wait to see how they continue to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and creativity throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your incredible support. You've not only provided tools but also contributed to building a love of learning in my students that will last a lifetime.","fullyFundedDate":1731534704002,"projectUrl":"project/ipads-for-science-stations/8930244/","projectTitle":"iPads for Science Stations","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Demeuse","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5450850_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651338390581","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-demeuse"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_25980","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1544,"numTeachers":67,"percentFrplEligible":42,"percentAsian":10,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":36,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"23.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.8,"schoolId":25980,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Culver City Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Culver City Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/culver-city-unified-school-district/culver-city-middle-school/25980"}
