Because of your generous support, my high school students have been able to give back to our community in a truly meaningful way.\r\n\r\nEvery other late-start Tuesday, they volunteer their own time before school to visit our neighboring elementary school and work with their younger reading buddies. We recently began with an origami activity for our TK buddies, where the high schoolers helped the little ones fold paper creations and shared their favorite numbers in Mandarin. It was heartwarming to see the older students taking initiative—teaching, encouraging, and modeling patience and kindness.\r\n\r\nThis project has become a special form of community service for my students.
