Platforms such as Tinkercad, Bamboo Lab, and educational YouTube channels have given my students opportunities to explore and create renewable resource prototypes, keeping them engaged with innovative content.\r\n\r\nWith our new 3D printer, my students have been able to deepen their learning by expressing themselves through design, coding projects, scaling, and hands-on problem-solving. It has allowed them to experience the future of renewable resources in a more immersive and interactive way.\r\n\r\nSeveral of my students even went the extra mile by designing new inventions. They were thrilled to transform their own sketches into tangible 3D objects.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for helping turn these brainstorms of 3D ideas and geometric plans into a reality.","fullyFundedDate":1757878694779,"projectUrl":"project/future-engineers-and-designers/9709635/","projectTitle":"Future Engineers and Designers!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ramirez Loredo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10257719"},{"teacherId":9933881,"projectId":9137356,"letterContent":"The technology provided through this project has opened new doors for my students' learning. The 3D printer gave students a hands-on way to bring their ideas to life, making their reading and writing units feel purposeful and exciting. For example, during our Benchmark unit on technology and inventions, students were able to design and print models of their own inventions, which allowed them to see how their creative ideas could become real objects. Later, in our unit on board games and careers, students used the printer to design unique game pieces that reflected the careers they dream of pursuing. This technology not only supported their understanding of the curriculum but also helped them see the connections between imagination, design, and real-world application.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most about these resources is the chance to take ownership of their learning. The 3D printer especially sparks their curiosity—they love watching their designs slowly come to life and holding something they once only imagined. The podcast equipment has also been a favorite, as it gives students a platform to create their own shows, record discussions, and present their ideas with confidence. Writing scripts, practicing delivery, and then recording has made them more thoughtful about their word choice and communication skills, all while letting their creativity shine. Even the addition of computer mouses has made a big difference, allowing students to navigate their devices more efficiently and engage more fully in digital projects without frustration.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially flourished with these tools. One student who often struggles to express ideas in writing found confidence in recording his thoughts for a podcast, discovering that he had a strong voice and perspective worth sharing. Another student who dreams of being an engineer lit up when her 3D-printed game piece came out exactly as she had designed it—her pride was contagious, and her classmates celebrated her success. These moments show how technology, when thoughtfully integrated, can spark engagement, build skills, and help students discover new strengths in themselves.","fullyFundedDate":1741053647175,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-ideas-to-life-tech-enhanced-le/9137356/","projectTitle":"Bringing Ideas to Life: Tech-Enhanced Learning for ELL Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lowe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9933881_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740852223812","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9933881"},{"teacherId":5201499,"projectId":8971865,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping with the purchase of noise canceling equipment.
