They go out every class period and gather field quantitative and qualitative data. They measure oxygen levels, pH, temperature, height of plants, and moisture levels. They find it so fun to use tools while learning that precision matters and data can reveal what life needs to thrive. They love discussing the health of their snails...most have fun names and they are rooting for their survival. We've also practiced turning that data into visible graphs through the software available to us.\r\n\r\nThey've explored why photosynthesis is the most important chemical reaction to life and are doing what it takes to get their plants to grow. They are learning that matter cycling is important and that energy will flow through their system.
