Science is a discipline that has always captivated students with endless wonder and excitement. Having seen Nearpod in action during the 20-21 virtual learning school year, I was amazed at how students were exploring and utilizing advanced and modern learning methods using an online instructional platform to expand their scientific inquiries. Nearpod specifically raises the bar due to its vast accommodations for unique and specialized learning needs. For example, a student who may be Deaf and Hard of Hearing can benefit from the very visual presentation of Nearpod while a student who may have a speech impediment can utilize Nearpod's voice assistance to participate equally. Additionally, this online learning platform meets many different learning styles. For students who may be visual learners, they can watch videos, draw, submit and create their own unique work. Alternatively, students who are auditory learners can record and submit their work using other online resources such as Flipgrid to listen to their peers and equally participate.
