We are off to a great start to set up my 2026-27 classroom. \r\n\r\nThe folders are great because they are used both in class and for homework. They are long lasting compared to the paper ones I used to purchase, and the bright colors help keep students organized (one folder for their desk, another for homework).\r\n\r\nThe birthday awards and stickers are very cute and students will enjoy receiving these on their special day. The notebooks will be used for journaling, word study, and grammar review. The flexible seating has been an absolute hit! Before introducing the flexible seating, I taught my class about \"Smart Seats\" and how flexible seating can be used to increase focus and help your brain to learn, but it will only work if they choose the right seat and use it appropriately. They took this challenge very seriously! I got incredible work out of this wonderful, smart, curious bunch of 5th graders. They each took responsibility for caring for these items and embraced them as learning tools. It was a joy to see them holding each other accountable, \"Oops, you forgot to put that away correctly!,\" \"I don't think we should sit together, that wouldn't be a Smart Seat!\" I cannot believe the difference this made in my room and it would not have been possible if it was not for donor's choose!
