You have provided our entire school with a quarter of printmaking fun!! Students were over the moon when they pulled their first prints. They got a real kick out of using printing tools and especially enjoyed the barons. Carving into foam was like magic and the experience seemed to open up a world of possibilities. They already can't wait for next years projects, and the upper graders want to do the projects that the younger students have done. My younger students looked to Warhol's screen printed flowers for inspiration and made their own flowers that they printed onto brightly colored paper. 2nd and 3rd grade used shape to design robot which they transferred to printing plates. 4th grade learned about concentric circles and symmetry, printing a mandala inspired piece. 5th and sixth grade designed city scapes which they printed onto contrasting colors. \r\n The past few months have been wonderful. And the best part is that the supplies you have provided will continue to be put to good use for years to come.
