The fresh, engaging stories sparked curiosity and excitement, encouraging even my most hesitant learners to explore books with confidence. Having a wider variety of texts allowed me to better support different interests and language levels, especially for my English learners, making reading more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.\r\nOne of the most special outcomes was being able to share these new books during our buddy reading time. When our buddy readers came to visit, my students felt proud and eager to read and explore the stories together. The new books helped create authentic opportunities for conversation, modeling of reading behaviors, and building comprehension skills in a supportive, social setting. It also strengthened relationships between students, making reading a shared and joyful experience.\r\nOverall, these books not only supported literacy development, but also built confidence, community, and a genuine love for reading in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1773937201843,"projectUrl":"project/building-young-readers/10135072/","projectTitle":"Building Young Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Galarza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2308959_orig.jpg?crop=1170,1170,x0,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752364196606","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jgalarza"},{"teacherId":2308959,"projectId":9944183,"letterContent":"Everyday classroom supplies like laminating sheets, Velcro, and magnets may seem simple, but they have a powerful impact on how students engage with learning—especially when activities are intentionally designed to target specific skills.\r\nLaminating materials increases durability, allowing students to repeatedly practice essential skills like letter recognition, counting, sorting, and matching without wear and tear. This supports consistent exposure and practice, which is key for early learners building foundational skills.\r\nVelcro adds an interactive, hands-on component that promotes active participation. Students can manipulate pieces to build words, match numbers to quantities, or sequence events, strengthening fine motor skills while reinforcing academic concepts. It also allows for easy differentiation—teachers can quickly swap out pieces to adjust difficulty levels based on student needs.\r\nTogether, these simple tools transform everyday activities into meaningful, multi-sensory learning experiences that support independence, repetition, and deeper understanding of targeted skills.","fullyFundedDate":1772807490617,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-young-learners-with-everyday/9944183/","projectTitle":"Supporting Young Learners With Everyday Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Galarza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2308959_orig.jpg?crop=1170,1170,x0,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752364196606","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jgalarza"},{"teacherId":9971734,"projectId":9634739,"letterContent":"I am writing to share the positive impact the Promethean Board Active Panel 10 has had on my 3rd grade classroom. Since incorporating this technology into daily instruction, student engagement, understanding, and participation have significantly increased across all subject areas!\r\n\r\nThe interactive features of the Active Panel allow lessons to be more dynamic and accessible for all learners. Students are able to actively participate by manipulating text, solving problems, and demonstrating their thinking directly on the board. This hands-on interaction has been especially beneficial for visual and kinesthetic learners, as it transforms abstract concepts into concrete, meaningful experiences.\r\n\r\nIn literacy, the panel supports effective modeling of reading and writing strategies. I am able to annotate texts in real time, highlight key details, and model writing skills while students follow along and contribute. In math, interactive tools such as digital manipulatives, drawing tools, and instant feedback have strengthened conceptual understanding and encouraged mathematical discourse among students.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the seamless integration with instructional resources and the ability to save and revisit lessons has improved lesson pacing and differentiation. The Active Panel has also fostered a more inclusive classroom environment by encouraging collaboration and giving every student a voice.\r\n\r\nOverall, the Promethean Board Active Panel 10 has enhanced instructional effectiveness and created a more engaging, student-centered learning environment. This tool has significantly enhanced communication, understanding, and inclusion for our multilingual learners, allowing them to more fully engage in classroom instruction and daily interactions.\r\n\r\nThe PocketTalk translator has helped bridge language barriers by providing real-time translation between students, teachers, and peers. Students who are still developing English proficiency are able to better understand directions, lesson content, and classroom routines, which has increased their confidence and independence. As a result, these students are more willing to participate in discussions, ask questions, and take academic risks.\r\n\r\nAcademically, the translator has supported student comprehension across all subject areas. Whether during literacy instruction, math problem-solving, or collaborative group work, students are able to access grade-level content while continuing to develop their language skills. This immediate access has reduced frustration and allowed students to focus on learning rather than language obstacles.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, the PocketTalk translator has positively impacted our classroom culture. It has fostered stronger relationships, encouraged peer collaboration, and helped students feel seen, supported, and valued. Families have also benefited from clearer communication, strengthening the home-to-school connection.\r\n\r\nOverall, the PocketTalk translator has been a powerful tool in creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. This is an amazing teaching tool for my students to get engaged in learning different math, social, and cognitive skills that will prepare them to be successful in their future years of education. All my preschool students have had the opportunity to play and explore the LEGO table and their tools (LEGO materials) to extend their language development throughout social interactions with classmates by working together, having back and forth conversations, sharing materials, and helping each other. Even though this LEGO table and LEGO blocks are great for children to build their own scenarios, the preschoolers were also able to practice some math skills by comparing sizes, counting one-to-one correspondence, identifying colors, and sorting.\r\nMost importantly, playing with LEGOs is a good way for them to develop their fine motor skills, spatial awareness, problem-solving skills, and to develop their creativity and imagination.","fullyFundedDate":1757906255580,"projectUrl":"project/stem-little-hands-big-creations/9521724/","projectTitle":"STEM: Little Hands, Big Creations","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Robles","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3775579"},{"teacherId":2308959,"projectId":9714258,"letterContent":"The Tonie Box has become a powerful literacy tool in my TK classroom, creating joyful daily routines centered on listening and storytelling.
