My school serves a low-income community population in which they give the opportunity to have a high-quality pre-kindergarten education program to the children. It also offer a wide-range of services for the families we serve (food, medical services, English classes, community services and more). Although we have some classroom electronics; technology is lacking in the students' homes. I was faced with the challenge of having most of the class, not knowing how to hold a pencil or crayon - today they are beginning to write their name on their own! I have 24 very smart bilingual students in my classroom that I am passionate about break the low-income stereotype and see them ready for kindergarten and success!
