The markers, scissors, cardstock, tape, and other art supplies have made our class projects more exciting, creative, and accessible for every student. The look on their faces when they first saw the donated materials was pure joy and amazement! Since then, they've become completely obsessed with the paint markers — they want to use them at every opportunity and love how bright and vibrant the colors are.\r\n\r\nSo far, we've used the supplies for three major projects: Tim Burton Selfies, a one-page book report project, and graffiti art. Each of these activities has shown how essential art materials are for allowing students to express themselves and demonstrate their full potential.\r\n\r\nAs the school year continues, we'll keep using our supplies for new projects like pop-up book reports, Egyptian masks, and cereal box book reports. As a general education teacher, I believe it's vital to integrate art into academics — not only to engage students, but also to expose them to a subject they don't typically experience since our school does not have an art teacher. Having these materials readily available has already made this part of the year smoother and more meaningful.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for making such a difference in my students' learning experience. You've brought creativity, excitement, and confidence into our classroom — and for that, we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1746815228173,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-future-artists/9321072/","projectTitle":"Fueling Future Artists","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Acosta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2775236_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746490276103","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-mariscal"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26753","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":549,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":33,"percentAsian":32,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":18,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"27.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":26753,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Gerald F Litel Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Gerald F Litel Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/chino-valley-unified-school-district/gerald-f-litel-elementary-school/26753"}
