Our school is implementing the WorkAbility program, which will allow us to support special needs students in developing pre-employment skills training for students who may be transitioning from school to work. The items you provided for our class helped us to reinforce skills that will help students be successful in the workforce, such as strong communication, advocacy for self, and creativity. Thanks to your kindness, we now have a library on campus.\r\n\r\nSome students on campus are excited because they know what a Little Library is and others are still unsure because they have never seen one; however both are positive experiences because it is exposing them to literature and a library. We have ran out of books several times and had to refill it. \r\n\r\nWith these resources, we have been able to build excitement around literature. For example, students visit the library often to check for new books and literature focused on monthly themes. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to continue building on this push towards improving literacy. Our next steps include promoting the library, encouraging teachers to take their class to visit them, and finding a partner to help us replenish our libraries. Your generosity has truly opened new experiences for them and I am excited to see their relationships flourish. \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your kindness and generosity.
