All of my students will have the opportunity to read their individual books, for leisure, and have the opportunity to express their comprehension and enjoyment of reading by choosing a specific project, of their choosing, from a choice board. By providing students with choices, along with the time and space to practice and work on improving their reading and writing skills, an increase in their self-confidence will be the final outcome. Evidence of their accomplishments will be noted by them meeting their annual reading and writing goals, through tangible projects and creative expression, after reading their books. My students are already excited about their books coming to fill up our bookshelf!
