My students are loving the new library. They take turns sitting on the beam bag chair and using the pillows. The new carpet is beautiful. I enjoy looking at it. There rewards toys package is a huge hit. The kids are behaving better because they want to go to the treasure cauldren. The new books are wonderful. We read everyday and are always interested in different stories. The contact paper made the book shelves pretty. The bean bag toss has become a great rainy day game. We have used the video component and the magazines as they fit in with our curriculum. We have read magazines and watched videos about animals, the roles of people in our government and important people from the past. The pictures submitted are from our Martin Luther King Jr. unit where we read about MLK, watched the video, learned about timelines using his life, and made an art project doing drawings of Dr. King. This unit has served as the introduction to our social studies unit, \"People Who Make a Difference.\" The students loved it, especially hearing the famous \"I Have a Dream\" speech in Dr. King's own voice. I was able to teach about American Presidents and connectivity to our Government unit. We also used the magazines and videos to learn amazing facts about dolphin communication, Veterans' Day, seeds. We look forward to using both the videos and magazines the rest of the year. This donation has enlivened and enriched my teaching and the students' learning. Your donation helped each of my third grade students have their own music book and recorder instrument, with the goal of becoming confident musicians.\r\n Students first learned to read music notes using beginner books. This then led them to playing very basic notes with their recorder. \r\n Then students applied reading music notes on a staff to playing songs on their recorder independently!\r\n Playing together in duos and trios made them feel like confident accomplished musicians!
