If you don't already know, stickers are a major motivator for my first graders. I give them out all throughout the day. We usually start the day with our Foundational Skills Routine, which consists of lots of chanting phonics rules and skills. Passing out stickers to those participating is the best feeling because I rarely have anyone not trying. They all want to add a sticker or two to their sticker books.\r\n\r\nMy students are forever grateful for your donation because it makes learning fun. If learning is fun, they will keep participating. If they keep participating, they are on the path to being life long learners. My students are enjoying learning about the colors on earth through exploration. They love using the magnifying glasses and goggles to explore rocks. We will continue to explore nature and learn about colors with all of the wonderful materials in this project. My students are exploring butterflies at the moment, and will have opportunities to learn about blending colors more. They have already created art, and mixed colors together. By being able to provide these learning opportunities, my students have been engaged in experiences that otherwise would be difficult to provide without these materials.
