We currently have an easel but it's broken and can't be moved. The students aren't allowed to touch it. If we had a new easel, the students could use magnetic letters and dry erase markers during whole group and small group ELA time to make and blend words. This is an invaluable piece of equipment in any classroom but especially in a classroom that is based on student-centered learning . With an easel, students will be able to use during writer's workshop and even during math talks. The kids love anything interactive and this allows the students to be independent in their learning. Thank you for your support.
