They had never used watercolor paints and they were so excited to try something new. We saw that they were focused and were exploring different ways to create art. They were excited and very proud of their creations. After preserving their artwork, we displayed some of it in the the outdoor play area and some artwork outside our fence, facing the patio where teenage students and staff could see it. \r\n\r\nSetting up my students' artwork where people outside our class could enjoy it, was amazing. We saw the teenage students stopped to look at the art work and smile when they saw the titles the children chose. The art brought color to a gray part of the school. Staff members also looked at what our toddler students created and shared stories about what their teenage students are working on. There was a short conversation about a possible collaboration between toddlers and teenagers to work on a piece of art together. \r\n\r\nWe were glad to see that staff members, visitors, and parents interacted with our outdoor museum. They took photos with their children next to their artwork. They took photos to share the idea and to highlight the wonderful work we are doing with our young students. Thank you again for helping our class share their talents and transform the environment for everyone around them.","fullyFundedDate":1769177621723,"projectUrl":"project/young-artists-outdoor-museum/10017830/","projectTitle":"Young Artists Outdoor Museum","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. D","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10333473"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_28703","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":227,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":95,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"10 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":76.7,"schoolId":28703,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Park High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Park High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/baldwin-park-unified-school-district/north-park-high-school/28703"}
