Over the past few months, my students have been so incredibly into reading. My students know that I love to read and I always tell them that a book really takes you into a magical place where you forget that time exists; all you want to really do is keep reading that book because it captures you into their world so easily. So, when they saw all these new books all I heard was \" I can't wait to start reading all these books!\", \" I am going to try to finish all these books by the end of the year!\", \" It's so nice to have a new set of books and we will be the very first ones to read them.\" and \"I am such a big Dog Man fan and you got all of them!\" Within these books, there's so many skills that students are able to gain which are reading fluency, prosody, and reading Junie B. Jones, The Wild Robot, Dog Man, and Cat Kid Comic Club has been such a great way to help my students develop literacy skills while keeping them engaged. I've seen how these books not only improve their fluency and comprehension but also teach important life lessons about friendship, perseverance, creativity, and even environmental responsibility. Watching my students get excited about reading, storytelling, and expressing their own ideas through writing and art has been incredibly rewarding.\r\nIn all honesty, all of my students have been enjoying the books. They have been especially enjoying the Junie B Jones books and Dog Man books. They were also very intrigued about the I Survived graphic novels. I just feel like they really liked all the set of books that the donors so generously gifted them. They are so grateful that we were chosen and I am especially thankful because my students have been wanting to grow within reading through losing themselves in the world of words and pictures that you carry in your hands.","fullyFundedDate":1733892091318,"projectUrl":"project/books-for-bright-young-readers/8957237/","projectTitle":"Books for Bright Young Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Orellana","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9844165"},{"teacherId":8707256,"projectId":8760049,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for your thoughtfulness and generosity in financing this project for my students. It has been a true joy to watch their little faces light up with each new manipulative that has been introduced. I have watched their growth with problem solving skills, pattern recognition as well as the development of their fine motor skills. Your donation has provided a hands-on way to explore and manipulate various concepts such as the ability to make connections between concrete objects and abstract ideas.\r\nI have had several parents come and ask about certain manipulative's that have been introduced in the classroom wondering where they can find them for purchase to use at home. That's how huge a difference these make. The students are excited about their learning and they want to extend it to the home-front. That is an amazing feeling as a teacher.\r\nI hope you enjoy seeing the joy on their faces in the photos as much as I did watching it in person. The moment my students saw the new PE equipment, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They couldn't wait to dive in!\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments was when we unboxed our new equipment. A group of students immediately started planning how and when they were going to use each piece of equipment. Watching their enthusiasm and engagement grow as they got outside and began using the equipment to not just have fun but also increase their physical activity was truly inspiring.\r\n\r\nThese materials have made learning more interactive and meaningful. We're currently learning new games and activities we can play.
