Our school implements different activities for students to participate in for positive behavior. It is often challenging to do school wide rewards when there is not enough equipment. Therefore, there is usually a limit for each activity.\r\nYour donations allowed a large number of students to participate in the same activity,\r\nStudents were amazed to see the soccer balls, goal nets, footballs, and the belts with flags. They were eager to begin playing with one another. Both, lower and upper grades enjoyed using the equipment. Not only did we use the flags for football, we also used the flag belts for soccer games, to help students differentiate teams. Using the flags to color code the soccer teams really showed the students how to share the ball and pass the ball to their teammates. Without the color belts, we noticed students were all just running to take the ball from one another, even from their own teammates.\r\nWe sincerely thank you for providing our school with enough equipment to allow students to play sports and learn about cooperation and teamwork!","fullyFundedDate":1740289499482,"projectUrl":"project/lets-learn-teamwork/9075159/","projectTitle":"Let’s Learn Teamwork!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bui","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2948332_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1473903408824","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2948332"},{"teacherId":3407441,"projectId":8821886,"letterContent":"My fifth grade classroom is so thankful for your generous support! Our students have been having a lot of fun learning through art. During the month of January, we studied how to add and subtract 10 to a two digit number. Noticing their relation on the number grid, it inspired me to ask, \"Do you wanna build a snowman?\" The next day, we used the white cardstock to create snowmen with 10 more/10 less. Then in February, we learned about Presidents' Day. Once again used the cardstock to create drawings of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. In March, we began studying insects. Your donation has allowed us to create bee mobiles. \r\nThe extra staplers and tape, are used at our \"Creative Counter\", that students enjoy during free \"may do\" time. Students are confident to use tape for their creative projects. The staplers have encouraged students to make their own mini books. They draw, write, then staple together to create their own book. These are not assigned projects. These are simply their own creations they take pride in producing for their families. They are grateful your donations help keep the \"Creative Counter\" open.\r\nWe have been enjoying your donations to make learning more fun and hands on!","fullyFundedDate":1736365300010,"projectUrl":"project/new-year-new-supplies-needed/9023221/","projectTitle":"New Year, New Supplies Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bui","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2948332_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1473903408824","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2948332"},{"teacherId":2948332,"projectId":8909439,"letterContent":"Thank you once again for the supply of paper to our classroom. Students have been working diligently using the flashcards provided on a weekly basis. They cut, practice, and collect the flashcards throughout the year. In addition to flashcards, I've written small books for students to study their weekly words within sentences and context. Students collect these small books throughout the year, along with their flashcards.\r\n\r\nThe paper you so generously donated allows for the weekly flashcards and sight word books to be printed for my students. Our most recent sight word assessment showed student improvement. The improvement created such pride among students and parents. \r\nAlso, while having conversations with my students, they've mentioned the only books they keep and own are the sight word books. Hearing this from my students, and knowing you've provided our class with plenty of paper allows me to print more small books for students to keep as their very own!","fullyFundedDate":1736354687795,"projectUrl":"project/give-us-paper-rah-rah/8909439/","projectTitle":"Give Us P…A…P…E…R! Students have been using the resources with so much creativity. We recently read a story in our classroom titled, \"How Bat Got Its Wings\". Usually students do an oral retell with a partner. However, this time students used the cardstock paper to draw and cut out the characters.\r\nStudents used their cut out illustrations to bring the story to life. They were so thrilled to move their characters around and perform with one another. They started with one character, and were inspired to create more, even during our indoor rainy day recess! The learning assignment turned into play time. It is exciting when learning is fun!\r\nIn addition, the floor puzzle was an excellent way other students enjoyed they rainy day recess. They worked as a team to complete the puzzle.\r\nOnce again, I would like to thank you for the supplies that helped to bring out their creativity and excitement.","fullyFundedDate":1733197317311,"projectUrl":"project/paper-and-writing-sources-are-just-what/8924405/","projectTitle":"Paper And Writing Sources Are Just What’s Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bui","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2948332_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1473903408824","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2948332"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_28125","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":404,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":82,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":89,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"31.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":65.7,"schoolId":28125,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Magnolia Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Magnolia Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/azusa-unified-school-district/magnolia-elementary-school/28125"}
