The excitement in our classroom was completely unforgettable. The moment the box arrived, the students gathered around with wide eyes. I had them try to guess what was inside! ( of course they guessed a puppy) As soon as the lid opened and they saw the bright, colorful soccer balls, ( I had the PE teacher blow them up) they yelled and clapped. After they each got their very own ball, we sat in a circle and talked about how to take care of something that belongs to you, how to show gratitude, and who the donors were that made this gift possible. Once we moved outside, the real magic happened! We went to the big grass area at school where the area transformed into a field of tiny athletes running in every direction practicing kicks, dribbling and shooting goals. Even the kids who don't gravitate towards sports were fully engaged! This was something so special and meaningful. Some of the first boxes I opened was the water color paint trays and white paint paper. When the students saw these, they cheered and immediately asked if we could use them. Of course I said \"YES.\" For the next 2 weeks, the number one request for the art table was to paint. One of our first big projects was painting rainbows. Rainbows are a great way to introduce students to colors, especially learning how only three colors make all the colors found in a rainbow, and also every other colors in nature.\r\n\r\nOne of my biggest purchases was glue and construction paper. It is amazing how many projects we can completed by using just these two things as the base. Autumn is the beginning to see nature turn colors from green to reds, oranges, browns and yellows. Again, we used our new materials to make a pumpkin patch. These projects are just the beginning in a year of learning. \r\n\r\nAs you can see, our projects are limitless as long as we have our imaginations. Thank you again for helping me provide the materials needed to complete class projects and to give all the students in my class the chance to create their own art masterpieces.","fullyFundedDate":1746644661656,"projectUrl":"project/tk-art-center-a-place-to-create-masterp/9098667/","projectTitle":"TK Art Center: A Place to Create Masterpieces","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Boet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7224937_orig.jpg?crop=524,525,x0,y110&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738716646654","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7224937"},{"teacherId":515616,"projectId":9458130,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in providing basic school supplies for our kindergarten classroom. The game encouraged them to practice number recognition, color matching, and turn-taking in a fun and engaging way. UNO's simple rules made it easy yet provided just enough challenge to promote critical thinking and some strategy. As the kindergarteners decided which card to play, they were strengthening their cognitive skills and classroom concepts. \r\n \r\n Beyond academics, playing with the third grade buddies helped build social-emotional skills.
