Learning to form letters is a challenge for most young students and especially for students in Kindergarten and First Grade. In this unprecedented time, trying to teach students to write from a distance is going to be a bigger challenge than ever before. Using whiteboards to practice writing is a great way to teach and practice writing. Whiteboards are a great choice for young students to practice writing because they can be used at a desk or table, on the floor or in a comfy chair. Whiteboards can be easily erased to make needed corrections, which is important for developing good writing technique. The whiteboards and markers will be great tools for distance learning and for students to use at home. The students can follow me on Zoom as I show them letter formation and I can easily see how they are doing. Then, as my students are learning words, they can use the whiteboards to practice spelling and making sentences. As you can see, my students will use the whiteboards as an essential tool all year long!
