Many of our learning programs—like reading fluency apps, math games, and language learning tools—use audio instructions or feedback. With headphones, students can engage with these programs at their own pace without distractions. This is especially helpful in a busy classroom, where multiple activities are happening at once. It creates a more personalized learning environment for each student.\r\n\r\nStudents are most excited about being able to fully immerse themselves in what they're learning. For example, when working on a reading comprehension program, they can hear the story being read aloud, then replay it as many times as they need. Some students love using the headphones during creative projects like podcasting or audio recordings, where they can listen back to their own voices and improve their speaking skills. The independence it gives them is both exciting and empowering.\r\n\r\n\r\nYes—students who need extra support with reading or attention have really responded well to the headphones. One student who struggles with focus has been able to complete full lessons without getting distracted because the headphones help block out background noise. Another student who is an English language learner enjoys practicing pronunciation with audio tools and feels more confident speaking in front of the class. These tools have helped build both skill and self-esteem.","fullyFundedDate":1740490395157,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-for-all/9096436/","projectTitle":"Headphones for All!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Otero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6494053"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_69729","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":576,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":98,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"20.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":82.2,"schoolId":69729,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dr Oscar F Loya Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Dr Oscar F Loya Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/alisal-union-school-district/dr-oscar-f-loya-elementary-school/69729"}
