Many of my colleagues have been able to print a plethora of classroom materials and activities for our young learners. For example, a young learner with special needs has been highly motivated in class because their teacher was able to print them a personalized Thomas the Train reward chart in COLOR! In addition, our reading intervention students have become increasingly engaged when provided their weekly decodable stories in COLOR! They ask to take home their stories to read at home because they are highly motivated to improve their reading skills. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your generous donation. The shelves and baskets look amazing! Since the funding of this project, students have been able to quickly access materials for art and math. We were able to do so much more art this Spring because it was easy to pull out the paint, brushes, and glue! Also, we were able to start using our math manipulatives regularly because it was easy for to find the objects! \r\n\r\nMy goal for this project was to organize materials so that the materials could benefit my students. It's probley by an author you really enjoy. They have good grammar, expression, and can really paint a picture with words. Well, that's what the program we're using is helping our students learn. They are learning how to write in different genres. They are learning to write paragraphs. And they are also learning to properly format a paper.\r\n It's thanks to your generous donations that we are able to provide our students with a writing curriculum that students can connect with and benefit from. The students understand the concepts better with this program and are able to apply them easily. As well, the program comes with some very helpful resources such as teaching videos that can aid a teacher. Additionally, they keep the students' entertainment. \r\n Thank you for helping me help the leaders of tomorrow be able to write properly, express themselves, and be able to communicate in this form.","fullyFundedDate":1737087326937,"projectUrl":"project/write-on-wildcats/8984443/","projectTitle":"Write on Wildcats!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Walsh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6477313_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1561010528514","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6477313"},{"teacherId":9027297,"projectId":8875936,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating art supplies to our class! My students have absolutely loved using these supplies during our learning time. We have used the sentence strips for group projects and writing. The large paper that was purchased has been used for team tasks during our Social Studies time. \r\n\r\nMost importantly, the color printer has completely improved my ability to support my students with meaningful, colorful pictures that support our content. I can't believe how much easier it is to have access to a color printer in my classroom! I am able to support my classroom better, along with the other 2nd grade class. My multilingual learners are enthusiastic about what we are learning. \r\n\r\nIn order to support my students, I wrote a book for our Social Studies unit that was specifically designed for those learning English. I was able to color print it and prep it for the students. I wish you could have heard the enthusiasm that they had! They joined me in reading a repeated phrase, and the level of English proficiency I heard was already better than prior to the funding of this project. Having access to a printer really makes a difference for what I can offer my students. \r\n\r\nYou will even see pictures of the students doing a picture file card sort. In this activity, students had to negotiate for meaning and describe the pictures to each other.
