The addition of the drone has transformed our classroom. Many people use technology at home, but this experience is completely different for students — they are learning by exploring the world from an aerial view. Instead of only looking at pictures of cities, landscapes, and shapes, they are now capturing them themselves and studying them through real photography and art.\r\n\r\nThis will be exciting for the students. The ability to see our city from a perspective they've never had before. They will be able to see patterns, shapes, textures, and colors they notice from above, and they are eager to turn their drone photos into drawings, paintings, and digital art. It has made them more observant and more curious about the world they live in.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Many people use technology every day, but for our students this isn't just entertainment — it has become a learning tool. The new equipment lets them create pixel-style digital art just like in classic Mario Paint, and it has helped them understand color, patterns, animation, and design in a way that feels fun and hands-on.\r\n\r\nThe students are especially excited that they can animate their drawings and watch their characters move on the screen. Being able to experiment, undo mistakes, and immediately see results has made them more confident and willing to try new ideas. It has also connected students who love video games with art in a way that finally \"speaks their language.\"\r\n\r\nSome students who normally struggle to stay motivated in traditional art projects have really embraced this technology. One student who rarely completed assignments now stays fully engaged, planning out his pixel character frame-by-frame. Another student who used to doubt her art skills came alive when she saw she could animate a character she created — and now she proudly shares her work with the class.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity. You didn't just fund a project — you helped students discover a new passion for art and creativity.","fullyFundedDate":1757521585022,"projectUrl":"project/painting-pixels-mario-paint-for-a-new-g/9578368/","projectTitle":"Painting Pixels: Mario Paint for a New Generation","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Guajardo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7871164_orig.jpg?crop=770,770,x82,y57&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1624659950850","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7871164"},{"teacherId":8963218,"projectId":9326196,"letterContent":"The addition of the PlayStation 5 to our classroom has been a game changer, literally and figuratively! From the moment we unboxed it, my students were filled with excitement and curiosity. It has quickly become a powerful tool for building community, encouraging positive behavior, and rewarding hard work.\r\n\r\nWhat's most incredible is how this PlayStation has transformed the atmosphere in our classroom. Students are more motivated to meet goals, collaborate with peers, and engage in class activities, knowing they have a fun and meaningful incentive waiting for them. Students are now trying to complete their assignments, just so they can play. In just a couple of days, I have received missing assignments from weeks ago, before, they did not even care to do the assignments. This is also great for team building. It's become a hub of connection, whether they're teaming up in a game or discussing strategies, they're bonding, problem-solving, and supporting one another in new ways.\r\n\r\nSome students who were once shy or reluctant to participate are now stepping up as leaders during gaming time. Others who struggle with social emotional skills are finding common ground with classmates, developing confidence and communication in the process.\r\n\r\nHonestly, they don't even want to leave the classroom, and that's a testament to how powerful this addition has been. Thank you for helping make our classroom a place where students want to be. Your support is making a lasting impact every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1747177754241,"projectUrl":"project/achievement-unlocked-classroom-edition/9326196/","projectTitle":"Achievement Unlocked: Classroom Edition","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bryant","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8963218_orig.jpg?crop=1932,1932,x0,y347&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1676490145861","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8963218"},{"teacherId":8963218,"projectId":8808563,"letterContent":"I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support in funding my classroom project for Flocabulary and Nearpod. Thank you so much for your kindness, I have learned in this life, that people do not have to be kind, so I am truly grateful for your kindness and consideration. My students now have daily access to two powerful digital platforms that have truly transformed the way they engage with learning.\r\n\r\nFlocabulary has brought vocabulary and science topics to life through music, rhythm, and visual storytelling. For many of my students, especially those who struggle with traditional instruction, this platform has been a game changer. I've seen students who are typically quiet or disengaged suddenly begin to participate and rap along with the academic content. Its always a sure sign when you see students in the hallways rapping the songs. It builds confidence and reinforces comprehension.\r\n\r\nNearpod has given me the tools to turn every lesson into an interactive experience. Whether we're exploring a virtual field trip, engaging with real time quizzes, or working through collaborative boards, Nearpod helps me reach students where they are visually, kinesthetically, and emotionally. It has allowed for more differentiated instruction and kept students connected, curious, and accountable.\r\n\r\nIn a community where many students face daily challenges outside the classroom, having these tools has helped level the playing field. They now look forward to learning in a way that feels dynamic, empowering, and relevant to their world.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just purchase technology, it provided opportunities, to be more creative and more engaging in the classroom. On behalf of my students and myself: thank you for believing in us and investing in our growth.","fullyFundedDate":1731699815350,"projectUrl":"project/digital-dreams-empowering-students-thro/8808563/","projectTitle":"Digital Dreams: Empowering Students Through Interactive Learning Platforms","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bryant","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8963218_orig.jpg?crop=1932,1932,x0,y347&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1676490145861","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8963218"},{"teacherId":7871164,"projectId":8685156,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our students were given the opportunity to explore digital art like never before—with a VR headset in the classroom. For many, it was their very first time stepping into a virtual environment, and the experience has been nothing short of inspiring.\r\n\r\nThis technology is helping our students learn by completely changing how they interact with art. Instead of viewing a painting on a flat screen, they're now inside the artwork—creating 3D sculptures, drawing in space, and experimenting with perspective in real time. It's sparked a whole new level of excitement and curiosity.\r\n\r\nWhat's most exciting to them is the freedom to move around their artwork, to walk through it, and create from every angle. It's not just a tool—it's a whole new canvas.\r\n\r\nWe've seen students who were once hesitant to participate in traditional art classes light up when using VR. Several have even told me they've asked their families for their own headsets as birthday or holiday gifts because they want to keep creating at home. This kind of inspiration is exactly why we do what we do.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a real difference.
