The new headphones and whiteboards have become essential tools in our learning. Students use the headphones during small-group rotations, digital lessons, and language-support activities, which has made it much easier for them to focus without distractions. Our new whiteboards have turned every lesson into an interactive experience—students use them to solve problems, brainstorm ideas, and share quick responses during whole-group discussions. One of my favorite moments so far was watching a group of students eagerly gather around a whiteboard to map out their thinking during investigations; their excitement filled the room.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the students were buzzing with curiosity. Faces lit up as we unboxed the headphones and noticed the clean, bright stack of whiteboards awaiting them. Several students immediately asked, \"Can we use them today?\"—and of course, the answer was yes. The room was filled with energy as they put on their headphones for the first time and realized how clearly they could hear their lessons. The whiteboards quickly became a class favorite; even students who are usually hesitant to participate found themselves eager to write and share their ideas.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our current projects are moving forward with more engagement and confidence. Your contribution didn't just provide materials—it elevated the learning experience for every student in the room. We are truly grateful for your kindness and belief in our work.","fullyFundedDate":1756136287623,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-math-learners-with-headphones/9292340/","projectTitle":"Empowering Math Learners with Headphones and Whiteboards","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cockerham","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5992021"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_51716","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":348,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":10,"percentWhite":75,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"9.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":62.2,"schoolId":51716,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mayflower High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mayflower High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/mayflower-school-district/mayflower-high-school/51716"}
