So far, our students have been learning how to navigate the Cricut Design Space platform and practicing how to turn their ideas into digital designs. They have also learned how to use the Cricut tools and materials by designing and creating their own shirts. This has given them a chance to practice the entire process—from creating a design on the computer to making that design come to life—and has helped build their confidence with the technology.\r\n\r\nThis is just the beginning of what we hope to accomplish. As students become more comfortable with the tools, they will use what they have learned to design visual bus identification tags for younger students who may have difficulty recognizing complicated bus numbers. They will brainstorm, create, test, and revise their ideas as they work together to solve a real problem in our school community. Our next phase will build on this experience as students explore 3D printing to create matching backpack tags.
