The scholars at our school will have the to opportunity to meet in small groups to help raise math fluency to grade-level mastery with an interventionist. The scholars will be given the chance to come to a relaxing, inviting environment to work on skills through games, enrichment materials and one-on-one lessons. Often times we see scholars who are from low-socioeconomic backgrounds or in military families. These scholars will move from school to school causing them to fall between the cracks of academic and social success. We take pride in promising that scholars will be literacy proficient at grade-level within 3 years of coming to our school so it is my goal to also transfer that promise to math proficiency as well. I want to invite scholars to an intervention time/space where they can let their guard down, be themselves and begin to let their math skills grow. I believe that having fun with these skill math games, in a flexible seating area of their choice that it will foster learning.
